The Philosophy of Ballet New Braunfels
Ballet New Braunfels is committed to providing training of the highest standards. The education students receive is steeped in the tradition of Classical Ballet. In a positive and professional environment, students will be encouraged to reach their full potential while exploring the exciting and challenging world of dance.
The Founder of Ballet New Braunfels
Ballet New Braunfels was founded in 2005. Tracie Tesch was the director from 2005 to 2010. Mrs. Tesch has over sixteen years
of training in Classical Ballet, Modern,
and Jazz as well as over ten years
teaching experience. The majority
of her studies were with Dana S.
Crain and Lynn Taylor-Brague of The
Woodstock School of Ballet located in
Georgia. She also attended summer
programs at the Atlanta Ballet.
At the age of eighteen she performed professionally with the Kris Cangelosi Dance Project. She has also performed with Cherokee Ballet Theatre, Fayette Ballet, and in 1998 she toured the country dancing in the musical Camelot, starring Robert Goulet, produced by Theatre of the Stars. In 2000 Tracie graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.A in Theatre. She has worked for The Westminster School in Atlanta as a choreographer for the children's summer Theatre Program. From 2001-2003 she taught for Mayra Worthen Ballet (now known as Ballet San Antonio Academy), and also conducted children's rehearsals for Ballet San Antonio's Nutcracker. Her choreography has been seen in the musicals "Grease", "From Us to You", and "Cinderella", produced by The New Braunfels Theatre Company. In October 2006, she attended a teacher course hosted by the Royal Academy of Dance. Recently she traveled to New York's Broadway Dance Center and participated in the "Summer Dance Fest Teacher Workshop" where she received a "Certificate of Achievement" from Broadway Dance Center and a "Certificate of Recognition" from Dance Teacher magazine.
